EnergyLab started to look at and solve several of the problems and failures plaguing high performance wheels, including price... During the early days the company focused on its relationships with the people in the know, the bike stores' warranty managers, mechanics and owners. They explained all of the problems and customer pains, from carbon failures to cracked rims, broken spokes to failed bearings, braking problems to cracked hubs. From this long list of known and secret recalls problems EnergyLab started putting ideas to paper. A major goal on the list was reliability, which started a second list of Effective Engineering Designs. These were well known, proven, trusted and true engineering solutions
Our hub system, called Force, is exceptionally responsive, fast and 95% rebuildable for longevity and durability for years to come.
The performance sport and race rims are called Velocity Control ,VC for short. Engineering leveraged current aerodynamic designs for superior performance, comfort and introduced effective manufacturing processes to keep the cost low.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY With AeroLab Technology high speed data acquisition, we are able to provide unparalleled accuracy of real world aerodynamics for direct comparison to wind tunnel data. EnergyLab used this technology to test our prototype carbon wheels. As a result we were able to determine the most aerodynamic and stable design for our carbon wheels.
The processed data can be imported into several programs as the file formats are easily translatable. This enables high performance riders and engineers to gain a better understanding of real conditions and their influence on aerodynamics. AeroLab Technology high speed data processes over 5000 points every second in order to provide real-time measurements of:aerodynamic drag
- coefficient of drag area (CdA)
- coefficient of rolling resistance (Crr)
- wind speed
- wind yaw angle
- wind gusts/acceleration
- drivetrain loss estimations and more.
While the information is provided in a compact form, AeroLab Technology uses advanced algorithms to learn rider behaviour and adapt to changing environmental conditions (road surface changes, body position changes, rider weight changes with time, etc.)The self-contained system is compact, water resistant and will automatically connect allowing you to see its full functionality come to life. All data is captured and saved for download and future use by athletes, coaches, designers and engineers. From changing road surface conditions, to dynamic movement of the rider, from power losses during climbs and descents to power gains of drafting, there is limitless potential for the end user.

Our Braking Technology
Slowing down and stopping in control can be more important than pure speed. When cycling you will eventually need to transfer the wheel speed to braking energy in order to slow down. When brake pads are forced against the side of the rim it causes friction, which generates heat. This heat, if not addressed, can compromise your safety in several ways. Energy Lab designed the braking surface by increasing it 150% larger then tradition wheels and redirected braking heat inward. This area called the Heat Dissipating Chamber (HDC), allows for better braking control for the rider overall by combining a deeper braking surface and a heat dam in the HDC. This is important for cyclists when it's time to safely slow down.

Cyclists receive the best possible aerodynamics with the least amount of discomfort from side winds, resulting in increased performance and decreased strain on the rider. The EnergyLab design maximizes aerodynamics while allowing air to flow more naturally over the wheels. EnergyLab wheels offer a noticeably impressive ride for even the most demanding cyclists. Additional aerodynamics has been added by taking into consideration the tire itself with impressive ride performance with 23mm and 25mm tire. Attention to detail continues with bladed spokes and integrated nipples increasing the aerodynamics, strength, power and stiffness for an overall cyclist experience.
